A general store, on purpose
Kaavita keeps a working selection across several departments — enough to cover the ordinary running of a home, without turning the catalogue into a warehouse.
Built the other way round
Most online stores pick one category and go as deep as they can — forty variations of the same product, and nothing on either side of it. Kaavita is built the other way round. We hold a limited number of items in each area and cover more ground across them, so someone restocking one thing can pick up two others in the same order instead of opening three tabs and paying shipping three times.
That does mean we are not the place to come for every colourway of a single item. It also means the catalogue stays small enough that we know what is in it.
What we carry
Our range is split into collections rather than presented as one long list, so you can look at a single area at a time instead of scrolling past everything else to find one thing.
The collections menu is the accurate picture of what we stock, because it reflects the live catalogue rather than a list written on this page months ago. We add to it slowly and only when we can stock an area properly — an empty shelf is worse than no shelf.
How something earns a listing
A product goes on the site when it clears three things. It has to do one job properly rather than five badly. It has to be something people either buy again or keep for years. And it has to be describable in a plain paragraph, without superlatives doing the work.
Anything that needs a countdown timer to sell is not a fit for us.
Our mission
To make the ordinary restock less of a chore — one store, several departments, descriptions that match what arrives, free delivery, and a return window that does not require an argument.
Our vision
To be the store people default to for the unglamorous things: the second and third items on the list, not only the first.
Who we are for
Households across the United States. We ship to all fifty states and the District of Columbia, we price in US dollars, and our support team works US hours — so if you write in the afternoon, you are not waiting on a reply from another timezone overnight.
We are building this catalogue department by department, and the range you see today is smaller than the one we intend to carry. We would rather list less and describe it accurately than pad the store out.
How we operate
Free delivery on every order. No minimum spend, no surcharge at checkout.
4 to 12 business days, door to door. One to two days to prepare and dispatch, three to ten in transit.
30 days to change your mind. Counted from the day your order is delivered.
A reply within 24 hours on business days. Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (EST).
